The Friends of the Museum of the Everglades, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation established in 1992. It was instrumental in the conversion of the old Laundry building into a Museum.
The Museum of the Everglades, located in historic Everglades City, is devoted to displaying local history from early Native American times to the present. Permanent exhibits tell the story of adventurers stubborn enough to persevere in Southwest Florida’s “Last Frontier”. The Pauline Reeves Gallery offers monthly exhibits from local, and regional artists.
