Members of the Everglades Lions Club gathered recently to recognize long-time service within the club and to officially welcome new members into the organization.
During the evening, Lion Vickie Wells was honored for 20 years of dedicated service as a member of the Everglades Lions Club. Her commitment reflects decades of volunteer work and support for local service projects that benefit the Everglades City community.
The club also welcomed its newest members, Ron and Debra Hine, who were formally inducted with the support of their sponsors, Lions Cecil and Connie Barker. The induction ceremony was conducted by Lions Club President Harry Henkel, marking an important step as the club continues to grow its membership.
The Everglades Lions Club, founded locally in 1972, is part of Lions Clubs International, an organization established in 1917 with a long-standing mission of community service and support for vision-related causes. That mission continues today through local projects and outreach efforts in Everglades City.
The Everglades Lions Club welcomes community members interested in service and fellowship and encourages those who wish to get involved to reach out and learn more about membership opportunities.
