A Brief History of the Everglades City Area by Marya Repko on visit Everglades City

Why is there was a planned city in the middle of the swamp? When I moved to ECity in 2000, I volunteered at the Museum but there was no little book that gives the history. I read whatever I could find in the Museum and public library. I also pestered Terry Smallwood at City Hall with questions until he let me read the official Council Minute Books. Eventually, I had so many notes that I had to organize them and ended up writing a book. I knew it would have a limited audience because it is such a local subject so I set up “ECity Publishing” as a imprint name.

Copies are for sale at local outlets (Right Choice Supermarket, WinCar, Smallwood Store) and by mail order on my website www.ecity-publishing.com.
