Everglades City School is excited to be partnering with Lorenzo Walker Technical College to offer our local adults workforce education programs right here at Everglades City School! We are offering a career expo informational event on March the 28th from 4-7 to meet with instructors in Aviation Mechanics, Welding Technology and Marine Science Technologies. If you are interested in joining this exciting event to learn more about the program and possibly enroll please fill out the document provided in the link and return to the school no later than Friday March the 22nd.

How long does it take to get out to the ocean from Port of the Islands

It usually takes around 45 minutes to cruise from the Port of the Islands to the ocean. The journey includes navigating through a long, no-wake zone canal, providing a delightful and unhurried ride. Bring a cover for sun protection during this slow and scenic route. About half an hour in, you’ll arrive at the expansive and naturally beautiful mangroves before reaching the open waters of the ocean.
