ESHP’s History Library Is Now Searchable Online

The Everglades Society for Historic Preservation has long maintained a growing collection of books documenting the history of South Florida—its people, culture, environment, and way of life. That collection is now available to explore online through ESHP’s website.

Visitors can browse the digital catalog and scroll through the front covers of dozens of fascinating titles, offering a glimpse into the depth and variety of the collection.

At this writing, approximately 200 books have been cataloged and are searchable, with many more still to be added. Upcoming additions include:

  • Additional books already held in the ESHP library

  • A recently donated collection focused on local fishing history, generously contributed by Frankie Wolfson

  • Periodicals and paper files, which will be cataloged with summaries

  • Donated artwork related to the region’s history and culture

All books in the collection are available to borrow.
