Celebration of St. Patrick’s Day at the Museum of the Everglades

Get ready to go green — Everglades City style.

On March 17, 2026, the Friends of the Museum of the Everglades is throwing a Celebration of St. Patrick’s Day that’s shaping up to be a spirited, green-filled evening with music, food, and friendly competition.

From 5:00–8:00 PM, the grounds of the Museum of the Everglades will be transformed into a lively Irish-inspired gathering filled with food, music, laughter, and just the right amount of friendly competition.

Expect everything Irish — and then some. Classic corned beef & cabbage will be served alongside beer and wine, all included with your ticket. Live entertainment will keep things moving, and the dress code is simple: wear green. Bonus points for kilts, Irish flair, or proudly honoring your family heritage.

And because this is Everglades City, the fun doesn’t stop at dinner. The evening will include prizes for costumes, Irish jokes, and the possibility of a potato race — or at the very least, the beloved and slightly competitive laundry cart races that locals know and love. It’s lighthearted, a little quirky, and absolutely designed for laughs.

This is a fun-for-all-ages event, perfect for locals, seasonal residents, and visitors who want to experience the community at its most festive. Tickets are $30 per person, all-inclusive, and RSVP is required by March 1, so don’t wait too long to lock in your spot.

If you’re looking for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with heart, history, and a whole lot of green — this is the one. Sláinte!
