It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Richard Wooten, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.

His dedication to his community and his unwavering belief in the good of people inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard’s passions included hunting, fishing, and gardening, pursuits that allowed him to connect with the natural world he so deeply respected. He was known for his warm smile, big hugs, and a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, his children, Jamie, Lindsey, and bonus child Eddie, as well as his 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will continue to carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.

A celebration of Richard’s life was held on April 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Faith World, located at 2205 W Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748.
