The Everglades Society for Historic Preservation (ESHP) will host its Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Friday, March 13 at 11:30 a.m. at Everglades Isles.

This yearly gathering brings members and friends together to reflect on preservation efforts in Everglades City and look ahead to what’s next for our historic community.

Special Guest Speaker

The featured speaker will be Greg Reed, Supervisory Park Ranger with Everglades National Park. He will share updates on the newly opened Marjory Stoneman Douglas Visitor Center, along with insights into future plans for the park in our area.

With the visitor center now welcoming guests once again, this conversation will be especially timely for residents, history enthusiasts, and anyone invested in the future of Everglades City.

Bank of Everglades Update

Attendees will also receive an update on the ongoing restoration of the historic Bank of Everglades Building — a cornerstone project for ESHP and a symbol of the city’s enduring character.

Please RSVP by March 6: snookcity@gmail.com or (239) 719-0020

If you care about Everglades City’s history, preservation efforts, and the continued evolution of our national park presence, this is a meeting you’ll want to attend.
