The Friends of Everglades Airpark, Inc. is proud to announce the first-ever Airpark Day, taking place on Saturday, November 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McLeod Park in Everglades City. This community celebration will showcase the importance of the Everglades Airpark to the local area while offering a fun-filled day of aviation, education, and entertainment for all ages.

The inaugural event is designed to highlight how aviation continues to connect and inspire the Everglades community. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a wide range of activities, demonstrations, and displays. Highlights include free air tours, aerobatic demonstrations by the Naples Mobile Airplane Club, and fascinating aviation exhibits from local instructors and students at Lorenzo Walker Technical College, who may even bring an airplane to assemble on site.

Visitors will also find a variety of vendors, including local jewelry and clothing artisans, as well as the Antique Car Club showcasing classic vehicles. To add to the celebration, food and entertainment will be available throughout the day, and the first 100 attendees will receive complimentary stone crab claws, courtesy of event sponsors.

“This event is about bringing the community together and showing how the Everglades Airpark contributes to both education and recreation in our region,” said representatives from Friends of Everglades Airpark, Inc. “We hope Airpark Day becomes a yearly tradition that residents and visitors alike look forward to.”
