Everglades City
by Dr. Cherie Allison | Principal, Everglades City School
In the holiday spirit, Everglades City School would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!! We are finishing the first half of the year strong, and we are looking forward to great things in the spring for our students. We could not do it without the support of our families and this great community.
Thank you so very much to our SAC and PTO members that came to EVG to watch our kids so the entire staff could have lunch together! With a Pre-K through 12th grade school, it is impossible to have all staff off at this same time. What an amazing opportunity that happens once a year and only with their support!!
Great things are happening around the campus with partnerships between elementary and secondary. Mr. Lettner, our Middle School and High School Social Studies teacher, in honor of Veteran’s Day taught our First grade class how to fold a flag!!
First grade also had another amazing hands-on experience in science with Push and Pull and Force. Students made ball poppers that show the amount of force you pull changes the force of the ball that gets pushed out of the cup. Thank you, Ms. K, for always making learning fun!!
Speaking of science thank you Mr. Cartamil and Mrs. Whitcomb!! Sixth Grade students enjoyed a Swamp trip Sponsored by Collier County Public Schools science department!
The students had a fabulous time, saw an alligator and had to wait for a bear to cross the road and this was no fish tale!!
We are looking forward to a lot of fabulous things this springs and will be updating everyone on the wonderful things happening at EVG!
