EVG Scholastic Book Fair Needs Your Help!

Everglades City School is so excited for our spring Scholastic Bookfair! It will take place Thursday, Feb. 27th – Wednesday, March 5, 2025! The theme this year is join our “WILD SAFARI” of amazing books!

Our family/friends’ events will take place on Tuesday, March 4th from 3 – 5:30 pm and Wednesday, March 5th for our Annual Books & Breakfast Event from 7 – 8:30 am! Make plans to join us!

We need classroom sponsors! If you and/or your business would like to sponsor a classroom library or a classroom of students – please contact Melissa Owen as soon as possible! All help is appreciated! Our teachers would love to add fresh, new books to their classroom libraries and our students would love a new book. Please help make this possible! How long does it take to get out to the ocean from Port of the Islands

It usually takes around 45 minutes to cruise from the Port of the Islands to the ocean. The journey includes navigating through a long, no-wake zone canal, providing a delightful and unhurried ride. Bring a cover for sun protection during this slow and scenic route. About half an hour in, you’ll arrive at the expansive and naturally beautiful mangroves before reaching the open waters of the ocean.
