Free Admission to Florida State Parks Feb 12-16

Florida will observe Washington’s Birthday Weekend, February 12–16, by waiving admission fees for Floridians at state parks, historic properties, and other state-managed lands. The long weekend offers a simple reason to get outside and explore some of the state’s most meaningful places for free.

The observance honors George Washington and also serves as an early marker of America’s 250th birthday, which will be recognized statewide throughout 2026. Florida’s commemoration includes historic sites, outdoor spaces, and educational opportunities tied to the state’s early role in American history.

Visitors can expect access to a wide range of parks and heritage sites, with some locations offering special programming during the holiday weekend. Floridians are encouraged to check individual park listings and find full details at America250FL.com.
