The Port of the Islands Marina is a boater’s paradise with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, and the Ten Thousand Islands, the famed backwaters of the Everglades. Known for its eco tours, Port of the Island is an excellent place to see manatee, birds and alligators. Overnight parking and accommodations are available at the Port of the Islands Everglades Adventure Resort.

The marina offers amenities including boat slip rentals, upland dry storage rentals, a boat launch ramp, fishing charter services, manatee & eco tours, Everglades kayak tours, and a Ship Store with convenience store items.

How long does it take to get out to the ocean from Port of the Islands

It usually takes around 45 minutes to cruise from the Port of the Islands to the ocean. The journey includes navigating through a long, no-wake zone canal, providing a delightful and unhurried ride. Bring a cover for sun protection during this slow and scenic route. About half an hour in, you’ll arrive at the expansive and naturally beautiful mangroves before reaching the open waters of the ocean.
