As we head into a new season here in our corner of the Everglades, the newest tourism numbers from the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades CVB team show steady, hopeful momentum. Visitors continue to choose our area, and that support helps keep our local businesses, guides, restaurants, and families going all year long.
According to the CVB, from October 2024 through August 2025 our region welcomed 2.66 million visitors, up from 2.39 million during the same stretch last year. They booked 2.66 million room nights (up from 2.37 million), spent more than $2.7 billion in our communities (up from $2.5 billion), and helped generate a total economic impact of $3.83 billion. All of that activity strengthens our economy and supports the people who make this area what it is.
During this same period, the average occupancy rate — basically how full hotels and rentals stayed — reached 60.8%, and the average nightly rate paid by visitors came in at $349.74. People are still choosing to spend time here, they’re staying overnight, and they’re putting money back into the community. It’s good news for everyone who depends on tourism in one way or another.
These trends point to a healthy season ahead, with steady interest from visitors and strong support for the small towns and businesses throughout our region. With the season picking up, this growth sets the stage for another solid year for the people and businesses that make our area special.
