Everglades City
Saturday, December 7, was a busy day in Everglades City, starting with the monthly Art-in-the-Glades in McLeod Park. Later in the afternoon families were treated to free food and activities for the kids in the pavilion and playground. Mayor Howie Grimm and his staff greeted children with cookies and stuffed animals as they hung ornaments on the Christmas tree on the City Hall porch. At sunset residents and visitors enjoyed the lighting of the tree, the light parade with various vehicles circling the park, and the beautiful boat parade along the Barron River.
