Everglades City
It’s that time of year again, when our little community puts on a big event! The annual EGGstravaganza will take place at McLeod Park, in the center of Everglades City on Saturday, April 19, from 10-1 pm.
This year will feature 4,000 candy filled eggs. There will be four different age groups, 0-2 year olds, 3-5 year olds, 6-9 year olds, and 10 and above. New Bikes will be given away via a raffle for those same age groups as well. We will also be hiding cash eggs for the older kids, and for the younger ones, special marked eggs will be worth a toy for the ones who find them.
There will be free food for everyone thanks to the Lions Club, along with free snow cones!
And to make the event even more fun, there will be two waterslides and a bounce house.
Something that will be new this year will be a petting zoo and ponies for the kids to feed and pet.
This fun filled event is sponsored by and made possible by Chokoloskee Family Church, Everglades City Community Church, First Baptist Church of Everglades City and the Florida Stone Crabbers Association.
It also takes a lot of volunteers from our community to make this event a huge success!
The laughter, the smiles, the joy on each child’s face is worth the effort put in to make the annual EGGstravaganza an exciting time. We look forward to seeing the community come out on that Saturday!
