Celebrate 100 years of history at the iconic Smallwood Store during a two-day centennial event on Friday and Saturday, January 23–24, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. each day.
The celebration will feature live music, Native American arts and crafts, food vendors including Caloosa Catering, boat tours, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. Friday and Saturday will each offer a full lineup of entertainment, with bands, raffles, and special programming tied to the store’s century-long role in the Everglades.
The Everglades Society for Historic Preservation (ESHP) will have a table onsite, sharing information and celebrating the area’s rich history alongside the community.
Admission is $15. This milestone event offers a rare opportunity to experience local culture, music, and Everglades history in one of the region’s most historic settings.
