Everglades City
by Michael McComas | Everglades City Council
Several long-term community projects have finally come near to completion. After years of trying to identify a funding source, the Mayor, City Council and staff have completed the work of having the roof on City Hall replaced.
With funding provided by the Lions Club and the Community Foundation of Collier County, sunshades have been installed over the playground at McLeod Park. Repairs to the fire station have been completed, allowing both the firefighters and EMS crews to occupy the building. This also means the ambulance has returned from Port of the Islands.
Projects currently in the planning stage are the Emergency Operations Center and the new Community Center.
