On October 1st the second meeting of the City of Everglades City Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation plan was held at City Hall.
Driving through the low-lying communities of Everglades City, Plantation Island, and Chokoloskee in southwest Collier County, you see that many of the homes are lifted up on pilings to mitigate against storm surge.
At the recent City Council meeting the Mayor announced the news that the wastewater treatment plant was operating normally, ribbon cutting is tentatively planned for June 18 and more.
