Everglades City knows how to do the Fourth, and it all happens Saturday, June 27, 2026. Come spend the day with us, from the morning parade right through the fireworks at 9 pm.

The fun kicks off with the cannon which starts the parade, and from there the party rolls into McLeod Park. You’ll find vendor booths, raffles, and the Lions Club firing up their famous hot dogs. The kids won’t want to miss the Little Miss & Mister Firecracker Contest at 11 am, and raffle winners are announced at 12:30.

Then settle in for the evening, because the fireworks at 9 pm are worth the wait. Bring a chair, bring the grand-babies, and come celebrate with your neighbors.

The whole celebration runs on community support, and the fireworks especially aren’t cheap. The City relies on donations from neighbors and local businesses to make the day happen. Any amount helps. Download the donation form here. Make your check payable to the City of Everglades with “July 4th” in the memo and drop it at City Hall or mail it to PO Box 110, Everglades City, FL 34139. To give by credit card, call City Hall at (239) 695-3781.

Want to be in the parade? Call Karen at City Hall at (239) 777-6614 or email KCochran@CityofEverglades.org to enter.
